Adyanth #7 : The Stone

The bus barely stopped a second for Adyanth to step down. His journey was yet to end — he had to walk to school from there.

As he looked towards his left, he was unaware of the two competing buses on his right. He got out of the way just in time, but the kid next to him fell down. He scraped his knee quite bad — it was bleeding.

The hot sun blaring down at the ground barely stopped the kids from scattering around. For some reason, the buses were not there yet.

Moo had got lost somewhere in this confusion — but Adi was too busy running like a mad cow. But when the realisation did strike him, he came to an instant halt. He turned around instantly, and searched for her, amongst the madness.

All of a sudden, he felt the heat melting him, urging him to wipe his forehead in perspiration. And in his hand, he saw his own blood.

A teacher immediately took him inside and gave him first aid. Moo came running, all worried. She waited for the teacher to leave in order to burst out.

“What happened? Who threw a stone at you? Did you see? Tell me!” She fumed.

“I don’t know.” He said.
