Bengaluru

Arms wide open, a blanket of nurture

Abuzz with lights, never asleep

Veiled by the racing exhausts

Under the disguise of clouds

Watch in mute helplessness

As we ride over you, ignorant

Not a moment to rest; to sigh

None left but breath-taking air

Buildings tall that scale heights,

Too high away for your emotions

The slithering hands of our actions

Coiling round your neck; tighter

Slow and devious, take yours now

The very lives you once birthed

Angry clouds march over horizons

Overwhelmed, they pour out

Rain stands silent a witness; as

The lightning tears your skies apart…
